Home for the Holidays!
After the races in Sun Valley, much of the team, including myself headed home for the holidays. Home for me is in Park City, UT. I can start off my saying, I just love being home for the holidays. The lights everywhere, all the friends being home, such easy convenient skiing, the parties and the list goes on! That being said, this year looked quite a bit different and to top it off, I think the whole West needs more snow. But, I have been making the most of it. Skiing in Millcreek Canyon has been a winter wonderland. Additionally my mom moved into a new home, which is so cozy and nice, so it has been really fun for her and myself. I love spending time with my family when I can.
For Christmas we opted out of a traditional Christmas Eve party, brunch and all the other parties. We met my cousins for a masks on sledding party and then followed with a bluebird nordic ski with the cousins and quiche, then I met my dad for a sunset powder tour! It was a beautiful day, and I am so thankful I could spend it with such great people.
From the training department, we are getting ready to race some FIS races at Soldier Hollow in Utah. For me that means finding my 5th gear. I am fortunate I have been able to do two TT’s at Soho and two interval sessions. Even though the loop is small, it is great training and in wonderful condition.
The team rolls into Utah in a few days and I’m stoked to see everyone!
Happy and Safe Holidays to all!
