The BSF PG Team supports motivated U20 and U23 skiers in their continued race development, ideal for high school graduates taking a gap year, college students taking time off, or athletes aiming for NCAA racing and Junior National/World Junior/U23 qualification. Expect professional coaching, hard work, and fun, with race support at US Nationals, local SuperTours, regional JNQs, and one to two summer/fall training camps.
Coach ratio: approx. 1:8
You can expect a high level of professionalism and hard work (and fun) at practice, and race support at US Nationals, US Super Tours, as well as some regional JNQs, as well one to two summer/fall training camps.
Training is focused on a springboard to college and national-level success, offering personalized attention, accountability, and skill development to build confident, well-rounded athletes.
PG athletes train as a group and with BSF Pro and Junior Teams, following individualized training plans (typically 12+ hours/week), emphasizing base building and smart training.
You can expect personalized attention and accountability to build upon your weaknesses and become a more confident, well-rounded, and self-aware athlete. Goals for athletes coming out of their PG year at BSF include having ownership of their training, awareness of their strengths and weaknesses as an athlete, and attention to the process that leads to successful racing.
PG athletes train as a group and also have many joint workouts with the BSF Pro Team (to learn from older athletes) and the Junior Team (to be leaders for the younger athletes).
The training free covers coaching, daily van travel, training wax, and gym use. Race trips and camps are billed separately. In a typical year with travel to West Yellowstone for Thanksgiving Camp, U.S. Nationals, Super Tours, and Spring Series, you can expect to pay an additional $3,000-$5,000 in race/trip expenses.
COST: September 1 - March 31: $4950 (estimated for 2025)
