About Us

INSPIRING A LIFELONG LOVE OF SKIING

Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF) is a nonprofit community ski organization based in Bozeman, Montana. We provide and fund educational and competitive programs for all ages, year round, in Nordic, Alpine, Freeskiing, Freestyle, Freeride, Skimo, and Snowboarding. BSF also grooms an incredible network of free community Nordic ski trails for the public in Bozeman.

With roots dating back to 1936, BSF has a long, rich history of keeping skiing a grassroots, volunteer-based activity for local families. Learn more history here.

SKI PROGRAMS

We do it all.  We teach kinders how to Nordic ski. We coach thriving teams of youth athletes in Nordic, Alpine, Freestyle (Moguls), Freeskiing (Park), Freeride (Big Mountain), and Skimo. We have a robust group of Nordic adult skiers who ski (and learn to ski) with us, as well as the Olympic Development BSF Nordic Pro Team that is making waves on the domestic and international race scene.

TRAILS FOR ALL

BSF grooms over 90 km of community trails both in-town and in the mountains: Sunset Hills (with snowmaking), Highland Glen, Bridger Creek Golf Course, Sourdough, Sacajawea Middle School, and Chief Joseph Middle School, as well as helping the U.S. Forest Service in Hyalite. Community skiers help fund this effort through donations and voluntary trail memberships.

ACCESS

Skiing in the Gallatin Valley has always been a grassroots community activity and we intend to keep it that way so that anyone who wants to ski with us can. That means open access trails, scholarships, equipment assistance, a welcoming environment, and fundraising much of BSF's operating budget so we can keep program fees more accessible to local families.
