This past weekend BSF sent 38 athletes to Soldier Hollow, Utah, to compete at the combined RMISA Collegiate and IMD Super Qualifier races. With athletes ranging in age from 9 to 19, BSF had strong showings across all age and gender categories, notching multiple wins in Friday's and Saturday's races. These races are unique in that athletes come from all over the west to compete, making it the most competitive series of junior races these athletes will do outside of Junior Nationals in March.
Sporting glitter and freshly bedazzled race gear, the BSF team showed again why a supportive and fun team atmosphere combined with hard work throughout the year leads to positive outcomes. Athletes cheered loudly for their teammates and showed up to the first Junior National Qualifier focused and ready to race. While not everyone had personal best performances, every athlete left the weekend with something to work on and plenty to be proud of. The team will regroup early this week before getting ready for Supertour races in Bozeman this coming weekend!
